COOLSCULPTING
What is Coolsculpting?
CoolSculpting is a cutting-edge fat-reduction treatment that uses controlled cooling to target and eliminate fat cells. This non-invasive procedure, known as cryolipolysis, works by freezing fat cells beneath the skin without damaging surrounding tissues.
During a CoolSculpting session, a specialized applicator is placed on the treatment area. It delivers precise cooling to the fat cells, causing them to freeze and crystallize. Fat cells are more susceptible to cold than other cells, and this cooling triggers their natural breakdown and elimination, a process known as apoptosis.
CoolSculpting is FDA-cleared for treatment of 8 distinct areas of the body:
Bulges Under the Chin and Jawline
Underneath the Buttocks (Banana Roll)
Flanks
Thighs
Feet
Bra Fat
Abdomen
Back Fat
Who is an Ideal Candidate for Fat Reduction?
- Close to Ideal Body Weight: People who are near their ideal body weight but have stubborn fat deposits in certain areas are great candidates for fat reduction. CoolSculpting works best for those looking to target specific fat pockets.
- Pregnant or Breastfeeding: CoolSculpting is not recommended for women who are pregnant or breastfeeding.
- Healthy Individuals: Ideal candidates are generally in good health, without any major medical conditions that could hinder healing or raise treatment risks.
- Individuals with Health Conditions: Certain health issues, such as cryoglobulinemia, cold agglutinin disease, or paroxysmal cold hemoglobinuria, may be negatively affected by the cooling process used in CoolSculpting.
- Realistic Expectations: Candidates should have realistic expectations regarding the results of CoolSculpting. While the procedure can effectively reduce excess fat in specific areas, it is not a replacement for overall weight loss through a healthy diet.
How It Works
There is minimal to no downtime with skin tightening treatments. Some clients may experience mild redness or swelling, but these side effects usually subside within a few hours to a day.
